About the College:
DR.B.R. Ambedkar Medical
College, Kadugondanahalli was established in 1981 by Ananda Social and
Education Trust, with the objective of providing primary, secondary and
tertiary health care facilities to the deserving. The college is now affiliated
with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The college runs the MBBS
course as well as post-graduate courses in many subjects that are recognized by
the Medical Council of India.
The institution also
envisages producing doctors with best possible professional knowledge and
attitude of service above self, both at undergraduate and post graduate levels.
The mission of the institute is to provide the knowledge base, empathetic
attitudes and practical skills which are necessary to practice modern medicine
and to build the character and skills of our doctors to encourage their growth

Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Medical
College salutes Gautama The Buddha, ocean of compassion and Bharatha Rathna
Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Father of the Indian Constitution, the pole star guiding the
destinies of the downtrodden of the society who inspired us to take upon
ourselves the onerous task of running this institution. In this lush green
campus of 25 acres of land at Kadugondanahalli, the Trust runs a Medical
College including Hospital, School of Nursing, College of Nursing, Paramedical
Institute which has colleges of Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Technology
and Radiography.
The elegant and imposing
college building with its beautiful architectural design attracts the attention
of all visitors. It is well planned and accommodates the Administrative block,
Trust office, departments and a modern OPD Block. The hospital with 600 beds is
also situated on the campus. The college is now affiliated with the Rajiv
Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The college runs the MBBS course as well
as post-graduate courses in many subjects that are recognized by the Medical
Council of India.

Annual intake of
students for the MBBS course is 100 and is recognised by Medical Council of
India, New Delhi and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences,
Karnataka.
The duration of the
course is 4 years of academic study and 1 year of compulsory internship . As
per the new regulations of Medical Council of India (MCI) the MBBS course has
been divided into 3 phases as per the details
v Phase I
