Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Medical College has been established in the
year 1981 by Ananda Social and Education Trust, with the objective of providing
Primary, Secondary and Tertiary health care facilities to the deserving. The
institution also envisages to produce doctors with best possible professional
knowledge and attitude of service above self, both at Undergraduate and Post
graduate levels.
All the faculty members impart up to date knowledge and help

Under Graduate Program:
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
MBBS Stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of
Surgery. Typically, MBBS (Medicine and Surgery) is a 5 or 6 years course,
minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2) in science with more
than 50%marks. Surgery is essentially the process of utilizing instrumental
techniques on a person by the doctors for investigating as well as treating a
pathological condition, for instance disease or injury.
Eligibility and Admissions:
- The eligibility for admission to Dr. B R Ambedkar Medical College is as follows:
- Candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
- Candidates of minority status should have Tulu speaking certificate from appropriate authorities.
- Candidates from outside Karnataka State must get eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
Admission Details:
- A candidate must have passed P.U.C. II year or 10+2 equivalent examination recognized by RGUHS securing at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology combined together and 50% marks in either of the Entrance Test that includes:
- Common Entrance Test (CET)
- All India Entrance Test (AIET)
- Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority (KRLM)
- Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK)
